Why it matters
Failure to manage these risks can lead to injury, enforcement action, prosecution and financial penalties, as well as disruption to services and damage to reputation. The Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974, the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999, the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998, the Work at Height Regulations 2005 and the Control of Noise at Work and Control of Vibration at Work Regulations 2005 all place duties that apply directly to grounds, horticulture and waste operations.
Qualifications and experience
MSc Risk and Safety Management; NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety; NEBOSH Accident Investigation; Kelvin TOP-SET incident investigation; formal courses in noise exposure management and vibration exposure management. This sits alongside extensive experience of managing the operations concerned.
